Boise businessman to run for state treasurer

Boise businessman Tom Kealey has announced he will be a candidate for the Republican nomination as Idaho State Treasurer. Kealey filed paperwork to formally open a campaign committee Thursday. Kealey and his wife own seven Treasure Valley restaurants. The Chicago Connection Restaurant Group was founded in 1982. Kealey is an active board member for many Idaho businesses and community organizations and is a retired CPA. Kealey earned his accounting and finance undergraduate degree at the University of Washington. He received a master’s degree in business administration from Harvard Business School.
