Jackson bus service preparing for eclipse traffic

START Bus will offer free fares and additional services to encourage more people to use alternative transportation during the solar eclipse August 21. The Jackson-based commuter service will waive all bus fares on all of its routes that day. It will also offer an additional morning commuter run for both Teton Valley and Star Valley and 5 extra bus runs between Jackson and Teton Village. “We are trying to encourage alternative modes of transportation during this unprecedented event in Jackson,” said Darren Brugmann, START Bus Director. “We’d love to see more residents and visitors riding buses and taking advantage of the new START Bike program.” Because of the heavy traffic anticipated that day, scheduled travel times are not guaranteed. You can find more information about START bus schedules here. More information about the START Bike program is available here.
