People’s Choice Best Fair Food winner selected

The people have spoken. The winner of the People’s Choice Best Fair Food is…Mexican Crazy Corn!

They beat out Scone Nuggets, the Bullseye Burger and the Teriyaki Chicken Bowl.

“You know, it means a lot,” Richard Johnson, Mexican Crazy Corn owner, said. “This is our family business so we work hard every year. We work on a farm, we grow our own corn and this is the highlight of the year. To come to the fair, win the People’s Choice Award and deliver a super product to all the fans out here.”

They worked hard to improve their corn to win over the judge’s approval.

“I looked at presentation first of all,” Whitney Blake, Best Fair Food Judge, said. “And then my next was the flavor. And the Mexican corn obviously won today. The flavor was amazing and their presentation was above all the rest. You can tell they’ve really kicked it up a notch every year.”

With this win, Mexican Crazy Corn takes pride in what they do.

“What’s neat is we’ve only been here six years,” Johnson said. “And it says a lot about the people, but it says a lot about our product I think. We got the People’s Choice Award, this year is awesome.”

This is their second win in three years.
