Officials Question Former Coroner On Human Remains Storage
Valley County officials are questioning the former county coroner on where he stored human remains when he stopped using the designated county morgue for a few months earlier this year.
Nathan Hess is also facing two misdemeanor charges because prosecutors said he also used the county’s truck for personal transportation.
The Idaho Statesman reported that Idaho law does not specify how coroners are supposed to store bodies and Hess declined to answer when questioned.
Hess argues, his job was hindered due to lack of training or help from county officials.
