ICCU and ISUCU donates $15,000 for Bengal Paws

What has become a staple of the Pocatello community is receiving a fresh round of support from two local credit unions.

ISU Credit Union and Idaho Central Credit Union representatives jointly presented Pocatello Mayor Brian Blad with a $15,000 check to support the installation of Bengal Paw prints on roads in the Gate City Thursday.

The money will help to fund the replacement of prints from the Clark Street interchange to Reed Gym. Respectively, Idaho Central Credit Union and ISU Credit Union each donated $7,500 towards the effort.

“Thank you to Idaho Central Credit Union and ISU Credit Union for their continued support for this project,” said Mayor Brian Blad. “Pocatello would not be the same without Idaho State University, and I’m thankful for all the university brings to our community. With these prints, there is no mistaking that you are in Bengal Country.”

The Pocatello Chiefs also joined in marking the donation with a ribbon cutting.

The Bengal Paw prints can also be found on South 5th Avenue from Interstate 15 to East Humbolt Street.
