Pocatello conducts fire exercise
Pocatello firefighters used a vacant home at 4259 Hawthorne Avenue for a live-fire exercise Wednesday.
Firemen lit and extinguished a variety of fires in the house throughout the day to give new firefighters a good look at the behavior of a “real fire.”
The so-called “burn and learns” are conducted in accordance with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and National Fire Protection Agency standards.
