Statewide summit to focus on climate change
There will be two eastern Idaho venues for the Idaho Climate Change Summit, “Safeguarding Idaho’s Economy in a Changing Climate.” The overall theme of the two-day conference will be how to safeguard the state’s economy in a changing climate.
The summit is scheduled Thursday, November 16 and November 17 and will originate at Boise State University. The conference will be broadcast to several locations including Idaho State University in Pocatello and the Henry’s Fork Foundation Conference Room in Ashton.
Organizers said the event will focus on an array of issues including forest health, wildfire, fish and wildlife, and outdoor recreation.
They said it is an opportunity to learn more about practical and innovative ways to meet the challenges of a changing climate.
