Two cars roll after freak storm near St. Anthony

A freak winter storm stalled over US 20 near its intersection with 400 North south of St. Anthony at around noon Tuesday.

Fremont County Sheriff Len Humphries says the storm put down a stretch of ice and slush that caused one car to slide on the highway and roll.

A Fremont County Deputy in a Ford SUV hit the same patch of road and his vehicle rolled as well. Humphries says the sheriff’s department vehicle was totaled, but no one was hurt.

Idaho State Police completed the investigation of the crash.
