Rexburg Police investigate blackmail scheme
A Rexburg man claims he was the victim of an attempted blackmail scheme.
According to Rexburg Police reports, the man said he received nude photos and video from a female via Google Hangouts.
In return, the man sent similar pictures and a video to the female.
The man claims the woman demanded $500 or she would send the pictures to all of the man’s friends and family via Facebook, Google, YouTube and other social media.
The man refused and reported the incident to social media companies. Rexburg Police are also investigating.
