Police investigating abDUCKtion
The Idaho Falls Rotary Club is gearing up for the 28th Annual Duck Race. The annual fundraiser has raised millions of dollars for the Greenbelt.
They debuted the grand prize today when the unexpected happened. The mascot was abDUCKted. As you can see, we got video of it here.
“There were some bad guys who stole the duck who are apparently not in favor of the duck race. They would like to see maybe the greenbelt go away, so they stole the duck thinking that would slow us up and probably wanting ransom. So we’re sure we’ll get with the Idaho Falls Police Department and we’ll get the duck back,” says Kevin Call, member of the Duck Race Committee.
Hopefully, the Rotary Club will get the duck back in time for the Duck Race on August 11th.
