I-15 and I-86 interchange changes

Plans have been approved to make changes to the I-15 and I-86 interchange in Pocatello.

The Idaho Transportation Department concluded the current bridges have reached their services lives. In an effort to keep drivers safe, the department will replace the bridges and change the interchange.

Currently, drivers enter and exit on the left side, something that makes drivers uncomfortable. As part of the construction, these will be moved to the more natural right side.

The project is expected to begin in 2022, lasting until sometime in 2023.
