Homeless man starts McDonald’s job with officer’s help
After a police officer helped him secure a job at McDonald’s, a homeless man says he’s doing great since starting his new job!
Officer Carlson of the Tallahassee Police Department spotted Phil outside a McDonald’s a few weeks ago and helped him shave so he could apply for a job at the McDonald’s.
The help didn’t stop there.
Officer Carlson accompanied Phil to the state capitol to secure proper identification for himself which helped him secure his job at McDonald’s.
The owner of the restaurant said Phil is doing well in his new role, and if he stays in the role for at least 90 days, he can qualify for the company’s archways to opportunity program which could help him earn a high school diploma and possible college tuition.
Officer Carlson said he saw Phil trying to help himself, and he decided he needed to help Phil out the best way he could.
