Grassy Ridge now 100 percent contained

The Grassy Ridge Fire was declared 100 percent contained Thursday night.
ORIGINAL STORY:
The Interagency Incident Management Team reports the lightning-caused Grassy Ridge Fire is now 97 percent contained and estimated at 99,502 acres.
It continues to burn in grass, sagebrush and scattered Pinion Juniper stands.
Today, the management team will focus on repairing dozer lines and building water bars for erosion control. Crews will continue to monitor and patrol the fire’s edge and mop up interior islands of unburned fuel.
The 273 firefighters assigned to Grassy Ridge come from all over the United States including Illinois, Nevada, Arizona, Utah and Puerto Rico. They are operating 14 engines, 6 dozers, 7 water tenders and 3 helicopters.
