Jefferson County orders burn ban
Jefferson County Commissioners have implemented a burn ban effective immediately.
No open burning will be allowed. The only exceptions will be campfires in an approved pit at a campground or picnic area, backyard fire pits and permitted agricultural burns.
The burn ban will be in place until Sept. 30.
