Future of Blackfoot Swimming Pool up in the air

The fate of the Blackfoot Swimming Pool is once again up in the air.

Tuesday night Mayor Marc Carroll proposed to stop funding the pool beginning October 1st.

The pool committee will now meet Wednesday night to decide if they want to put a $3.9 million bond on the November ballot or the May ballot next year. They will give their decision to the Blackfoot City Council.

The city council will decide at next months meeting when to stop funding the pool and when the bond will be put on the ballot.
