40-year-old man drowns in pond
A 40-year-old man drowned in a private swimming pond near St. Anthony after he hit his head on a water slide. The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office identified the victim as Michael Jones of Rigby.
At around 4:00 p.m. Friday, Fremont County deputies were dispatched to the area and found the victim within about 10 minutes of arrival.
CPR and other life saving measures were performed, but Jones was declared dead at the scene.
Fremont County Sheriff was assisted by Fremont County EMS, Fremont County search and rescue, and Lifeflight.
