I-15 reopens after fire causes closure
UPDATE 4:55: The Idaho Department of Transportation reports Interstate 15 has reopened.
Officials say the fire was started by a county four-wheeler.
Western States Construction acted fast with dozers and water trucks and got the fire out.
“If it wasn’t for them, it would have been a major fire. A big shout out to Rick and his crew.”
ORIGINAL:
The Idaho Department of Transportation reports part of Interstate 15 is closed because of the China Point fires.
The National Weather Service says the fires are burning north of Dubois on the west side of I-15.
I-15 is closed from mile marker 167 to 184.
Old 91 North is closed as well.
