Brush fire extinguished, I-15 opens

UPDATE 5:53 p.m. Idaho State Police report the fire has been extinguished, and all lanes of travel are open.

ORIGINAL: Idaho State Police officers and fire personnel are currently on scene of a brush fire on the west side of Interstate 15, near milepost 64, just south of Pocatello.

Traffic on the southbound side is backed up for several miles.
