Roommate threatens shooting over dishwashing duties
An argument over dish-washing ended with a police visit at a Rexburg student apartment complex Sunday.
Police were called after a man threatened to kill his roommates during an argument over dishwashing duties.
The roommates told police the man had a gun in the apartment and they were worried he might follow through with the threat.
Police warned the man about the potential for assault charges. He handed over the handgun for safe-keeping until things cooled down.
Officers encouraged all of them to solve their issues in a more civilized manner and to not allow things to escalate, like they did Sunday.
