Blackfoot bicyclist dies after being hit by car

A Blackfoot man died at Bingham Memorial Hospital Tuesday after the bicycle he was riding was struck by a motor vehicle.

The Bingham County Sheriff’s Office said Alexander P. Jensen, 24, rode his bicycle onto Highway 39 near Snake River High School. Dayler R. Bedwell, 25, of Aberdeen was driving down the highway and was unable to stop his vehicle in time to avoid a collision and struck the bike.

Jensen was transported to the hospital, where he died later from injuries sustained in the crash.
