Blustery Sunday
Back half of our weekend will be unseasonably warm with highs approaching 70 in the SRP, Cool air begins to move in from Alaska and Canada with a cold front and winds will be very prominent Sunday afternoon, 15-25 MPH, with gusts approaching 35. Some winter precip. is expecting along mountain passes Sunday evening as the front reaches Idaho. 1-3″ of snow is possible for higher elevations, and a significant drop in temps will occur over the next 48 hours, with lows headed below freezing for most of Eastern Idaho. Halloween has rain chances but perhaps there’s a break in the evening for neighborhood trick-or-treating, but a jacket will be required over the costumes with temps dropping from highs only in the 40’s on Wednesday.
