Traffic signal work will disrupt busy intersection this week

Construction crews are making upgrades to the traffic signal at the intersection of North Holmes and Yellowstone Highway in Idaho Falls.

DePatco Construction said it will reduce traffic to one lane in the east and west directions starting Monday night. In addition, flaggers will direct vehicles through the area from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. The lane reductions and flaggers are expected to be in place at that location through Thursday night, November 1.

Detours and temporary closures are also planned on North Holmes during those nights. Drivers are encouraged to find alternative routes.
