Robbery suspect in custody
UPDATE: The Idaho Falls Police Department has a person of interest in custody.
22 Year-old Travis C. Lofthouse of Idaho Falls has been booked for robbery (Idaho code 18-6501).

UPDATE: 12:00 p.m. Idaho Falls Police said a man walked into the Connections Credit Union at 2265 E. 25th Street at around 9:30 a.m., behind Pet Smart, with a bag.
Police said the man told credit union workers the bag contained a bomb and tried to rob the business.
The man left the area on foot toward the Grand Teton Mall. Police are still looking for him. He was described as being a white male of medium build and average height. Officers arrived and secured the area. Idaho Falls Department/Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office Regional Bomb Squad are assisting with the investigation. Businesses within the Grand Teton Mall assisted law enforcement by locking down their business’ while the mall was searched.
Because the man was on foot, it triggered a hall check lockdown at Hillcrest High School, Sand Creek Middle School, Ammon and Hillview Elementary schools.
That lockdown has now been lifted.

Hillcrest High School, Sandcreek Middle School, Ammon Elementary and Hillview Elementary are currently in what is called a “hall check lockdown.”
Bonneville School District #93 reports there was some criminal activity in the community, and district officials are being proactive and making sure students are in their classrooms until they are notified that all is good.
Bonneville Sheriff’s Office has identified the criminal activity as a robbery at Connections Credit Union at 2265 E 25th St.
The suspect left on foot on the Ammon side of Hitt Road which is why schools went into a hall check lockdown.
Officials say there is no immediate threat inside the buildings.
