MacKenzie River offering special on Law Enforcement Appreciation Day

Since 2015, January 9th has been Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, and some local businesses are offering specials as a way of saying thanks.

In Pocatello, MacKenzie River is offering a 25 percent discount for law enforcement and their family and friends.

It’s something the restaurant has been doing since they first opened and is a way for them to give back to the community.

“We do appreciate everything that law enforcement, slash the family that’s allowing law enforcement to help us,” Chelsea Skaggs said. “So this is something we like to do.”

The restaurant is offering the special until close at 9 p.m.

Law enforcement officials just have to show a badge or some form of ID to get the discount.
