Blackfoot attorney held on burglary charges

Police have arrested a Blackfoot attorney on charges of felony burglary, petit theft and DUI.

Blackfoot Police said Kevin Charles Peterson, 60, was being held without bond in the Bingham County Jail.

According to reports, Blackfoot officers and the Bingham County Sheriff’s Office Detective Division obtained a search warrant after a report of a theft on Tuesday in the 200 block of N.W. Main. On Wednesday, investigators searched a vehicle, business office, and a residence. Most of the items reported stolen were recovered.

Police are releasing no additional information at this time.
