Rexburg Police investigate infected blood donation
Rexburg Police are investigating to determine if a man intentionally donated infected blood.
Chief Shane Turman said a Pocatello man donated blood at Grifols Plasma Donation Center on East Main Street on January 4, 2019.
According to reports, the company’s testing discovered the blood donation tested HIV positive. They then contacted police.
Turman said it is a felony to knowingly donate infected blood.
Investigation is continuing and no charges have yet been filed.
