Church President’s daughter dies of cancer
The daughter of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints President Russell M. Nelson died Friday after a battle with cancer. Spokesperson Irene Caso issued this statement.
“With sadness, we share the news of the passing of Wendy Nelson Maxfield, a daughter of President Russell M. Nelson and Dantzel White Nelson. Wendy died peacefully at her home Friday afternoon, January 11, 2019, at age 67 after a courageous battle with cancer. Sister Maxfield is married to Norman Maxfield, and they are the parents of seven children and 20 grandchildren. We express our love to the entire Nelson and Maxfield family as they remember her life and mourn her passing.”
