City of Pocatello asking for input on Ross Park draft
The City of Pocatello is inviting the community to weigh in on the future of one of the Gate City’s most prominent parks.
On Tuesday, January 29 from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Pocatello City Council Chambers, 911 N. 7th Avenue, Mayor Brian Blad and the staff of the Parks and Recreation Department will hold a town hall meeting and present the Ross Park Draft Master Plan. The plan visually shows different improvements and features that could be added to the park.
John Banks, the Parks and Recreation Director says, “Consistently, Ross Park and all the amenities it offers is among the most popular with Pocatellans. The plan showcases a number of different ways and ideas that the entire area, including Zoo Idaho and the Ross Park Aquatic Complex, could be improved.”
The town hall meeting will feature 30 minutes for attendees to look at display boards featuring parts of the plan followed by 30 minutes for a question and answer session.
If you are unable to attend the meeting, comments will also be accepted via email at rossparkplan@pocatello.us through May 15.
