Idaho Falls Unitarian Church offers a reflection honoring Martin Luther King Jr.
The Unitarian Universalist Church in Idaho Falls ordered a service Sunday afternoon to reflect and honor Martin Luther King, Jr.
The meeting was called by Reverend, Jacqueline Ziegler.
The day prior of the church sermon, Ziegler participated as a keynote speaker in Saturday’s Women’s March event.
Ziegler organized a unique church discussion for the Sunday congregation.
One of which she says is unlike any other traditional church sermons she’d given before.
Congruent to her talk given the day before, her address to the church reflected on current political events.
She voices the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. and modernized his ideals and principals for religiously liberal people to apply when dealing with new challenges.
Ziegler says, “I wanted to talk about Martin Luther King Jr.’s distinct points of view and to express his stance was not in politics but for seeking truth.”
T he church describes themselves as a religious community dedicated to promoting the ongoing search for truth, compliant with the r eflections of Martin Luther King Jr.
