Scattered snow for Wednesday & Friday
A storm system arrives late Tuesday night and Wednesday for Eastern Idaho and Western Wyoming. We’ll see snow showers from the Northwest along with gusty winds. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the areas north and east of the Snake River Plain. Snowfall amounts are looking about 1″ or less for the Snake River Plain, with 4-6″ for the higher elevations. We’ll see a break on Thursday with partly to mostly cloudy skies and a few flurries. Another slight risk of snow arrives on Friday.
Tonight: Scattered snow showers with a mostly cloudy sky. Low’s into the lower 20’s, south southwest wind 10 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Total nighttime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Wednesday: Scattered snow showers, with a high into the lower 30’s. South southwest wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Thursday: Partly to mostly cloudy, with a high into the lower 30’s. Slight chance of snow flurries.
Friday: A slight chance of snow for the Snake River Plain with a better chance of snow for the Jackson and Teton region. Highs into the lower 30’s.
Saturday: Partly sunny, with highs into the upper 20’s.
