Big game hunt regulation meetings set

The Idaho Fish and Game Department has scheduled a series of public meetings to gather public comments on the 2019/2020 big game hunting seasons.

Wildlife biologists will be on hand to talk about elk, deer, pronghorn, mountain lion, bear and wolf hunting proposals.

“Public comment is a critical part of our season setting process,” says James Brower Regional Communications Manager for Fish and Game. “It is important for us to hear what the people of Idaho want so that we can continue to provide them with quality hunting opportunities.”

The upper Snake meetings are scheduled:

— Feb. 12, 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., Idaho Falls Regional Office, 4279 Commerce Circle

— Feb. 13, 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., Rexburg, Madison Middle School, 575 West 7th South

— Feb. 19, 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., Arco, Butte Middle/High School, 120 South Water Street

Southeast Idaho meetings are scheduled:

Feb. 6: Soda Springs- Caribou County Fire Station, 655 East Second South

Feb. 12: Malad City- Oneida County Senior Center, 26 North Main Street

Feb. 13: Montpelier- Bear Lake Senior Center, 115 South 4th Street

Feb. 19 : Preston- Larsen-Sant Library, 109 South 1st East

Feb. 20: Blackfoot- City Hall Council Chambers, 157 North Broadway

Feb. 21: Pocatello- IDFG Office, 1345 Barton Road
