National Elk Refuge to resume operations Wednesday

National Elk Refuge staff is preparing to resume regular operations this week. The work will include reopening facilities, processing applications for special use permits, and offering educational programs.

The Jackson Hole and Greater Yellowstone Visitor Center will reopen Wednesday. The Center serves as an interagency resource for area public lands. It is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

Refuge sleigh rides have been operating by private contractor through the Grand Teton Association. They will move back to the Visitor Center on Wednesday.
