Downtown Idaho Falls makes progress on Broadway Development

Traveling in Downtown Idaho Falls, you might have seen some construction lately.

On the corner of Broadway and Memorial Drive, a couple new restaurants have made an appearance in the Broadway Development– Smokin Fins and Lucy’s Pizzeria.

Smokin Fins opened at the end of 2018 and Lucy’s Pizzeria signs went up just a few weeks ago.

Between the two restaurants will be a public plaza, where Idaho Falls Downtown Development hopes to eventually hold events.

“It’s really exciting to see a new group of folks, I think that drive by and are intrigued by these developments and now coming into downtown because there is something new and fun,” said Catherine Smith, the executive director of Idaho Falls Downtown Development.

Downtown Development hopes to see the public plaza finished by spring and Lucy’s Pizzeria to open in the next few months.
