Jackson to extend snow removal closures Friday
The Town of Jackson will post some additional “No Parking” areas on some select streets Friday.
The decision will give Public Works crews additional time to remove snow from the streets between 7 a.m. and noon.
The closure areas include:
Flatcreek Drive (from Broadway to Karns St.) Milward Street (from Broadway to Snow King) Simpson Street (from Cache St. to Gros Ventre St.)
Town officials said this week’s snowstorms produced enough snow that roadways became too narrow for cars to safely pass.
According to town officials, Jackson beat the daily snowfall record for both days, since record-keeping began in 1905. The storm ranked 4th overall for 2-day total snowfall.
