City of Chubbuck holds annual spring cleaning day

Lot’s of people took advantage of the great weather this weekend to do some spring cleaning outside.

In Chubbuck, the city held it’s annual free clean up and wood chipping service day.

People and garbage came by the truckload to drop off all the things that they didn’t want at their house anymore.

Residents say bringing the garbage to the city offices instead of the dump is a huge help.

“We were helping out a neighbor, one of the members of our church who had a bunch of tree branches and everything.” Said Chubbuck resident Troy Curnutt. “We thought we were going to have to take them to the dump where we would have to pay for them. So giving service is not a big deal but then when you have to pay for it after that its kind of hard. But then were told to come down here and they would take our branches and we could get rid of all our waste.”

The city of Chubbuck holds its annual spring clean-up day on the first Saturday of May every year.
