Pocatello man charged with battery

Pocatello Police arrested 42-year-old David Earl Wilcox on charges of battery early Sunday morning.

According to police, Wilcox was riding in a taxi and allegedly assaulted the female driver. The driver got Wilcox out of the vehicle and went to the hospital, where she called police at about 11:45 p.m. Saturday.

Wilcox was arrested at 653 South 4th Avenue at around 12:52 a.m. Sunday and charged him with battery.

The driver was treated and released.

Wilcox was being held in the Bannock County Jail Monday.
