Man found sleeping inside business arrested on drug charges
A man found sleeping inside a business Monday has a new bunk in the Bonneville County Jail.
According to the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office, they were called to the 3400 block of 15th East. They found Jonathan P. Buchanan, 33, of Idaho Falls in a room, trying to hide drug paraphernalia.
Buchanan was found with a significant amount of cash, approximately .5 grams of methamphetamine and 1 gram of heroin. Further investigation determined the cash belonged to the business and that about $600 was reported to be missing.
Officers arrested Buchanan on charges of felony possession of heroin, felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor charges of petit theft and possession of drug paraphernalia.
