Prescription burn planned near Noise Park
Residents or travelers may see some smoke in the air near the Arco Highway Tuesday.
The Idaho Falls, INL, and Central Fire District fire departments will participate in a prescribed burn aimed at reducing the risk of wildfire. The controlled fire will be in the area north of the Arco highway and about one mile west of 65th West, near the Idaho Falls Raceway at Noise Park.
The fire will also be used as a training opportunity for Idaho Falls Fire Department recruits.
Depending on weather conditions, the fire was scheduled to begin around 9:45 a.m. and continue till around 5 p.m. Tuesday.
