Brush fire on Highway 20 contained
The Idaho Falls Fire Department said a fire alongside the highway has been contained.
Two engines and a battalion chief were dispatched to a brush fire at Milepost 318 on US 20 near County Line Road at around 3:30 Monday afternoon.
Motorists reported heavy smoke on the highway and a fire that was growing rapidly and approaching some parked vehicles.
Idaho State Police said there were no injuries and the exact cause of the fire is unknown. Crews are standing by to make sure the fire does not reignite.
