Unauthorized charges found on cards used to pay Pocatello utilities
The City of Pocatello is investigating reports of unauthorized access to “certain individuals” payment card information they used to pay their utility bill.
The investigation is ongoing, and we are working diligently with the portal provider and cyber security experts to determine the nature and scope of this event,” said Logan McDougall, the public information officer for the city.
A local woman reports finding unauthorized charges from Lyft and Door Dash on her card, adding up to $206. It’s unknown how many people the possible breach has affected. More information will be shared as the investigation continues.
