CHICAGO (AP) — Chicago police say an officer shot an armed man who was making anti-police statements inside a police station. Superintendent David Brown says the shooting happened Wednesday afternoon at the Ogden District station. He says the man holding what appeared to be a gun wrapped in a plastic bag entered the station and made negative comments about police. Officers ordered him to drop the weapon but he refused and pointed it at them. Then officers opened fire, shooting him once in the shoulder. He is expected to survive. Last week, an officer shot a man who climbed a fire escape to enter another Chicago police station and pointed a gun at officers.
