Credit Union robbery suspect in custody
CHUBBUCK, Idaho (KIFI) - UPDATE: 9:30 p.m.: Chubbuck Police report a suspect is in custody for the robbery at Advantage Plus Federal Credit.
Brandon Damon, 43, was taken into custody by the Fort Hall Police Department on an unrelated arrest warrant. The driver of the getaway vehicle was also taken into custody by Fort Hall Police on an unrelated arrest warrant.
They say a warrant for Robbery and other potential charges stemming from this incident, are forthcoming. The Chubbuck Police Department would like to thank the community for the tips received about the investigation.
ORIGINAL: The Chubbuck Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect in a bank robbery that took place Tuesday at 12:05 p.m. at the Advantage Plus Federal Credit Union.
According to police, the suspect was described as tall and slender and wearing all black clothing (pants, beanie, and coat with hoodie). The suspect was wearing a black mask but was said to possibly have a face tattoo and was said to possibly be Native American.
During the robbery, the suspect pointed a handgun at one of the bank tellers and police say is still possibly armed and dangerous. He fled from the bank on foot to the area of the Family Dollar store, where he entered the passenger side of an older model, white, Chevrolet 2-door pickup truck and left the area. The vehicle was being driven by a second subject.
