Chubbuck prepares new Comprehensive Plan
CHUBBUCK, Idaho (KIFI) - The City of Chubbuck is looking for feedback from the community on planning for its future.
The city is currently asking residents to fill out a survey on its website to provide input on Chubbuck's Comprehensive Plan that is in the works.
The comprehensive plan is a 20-year vision for Chubbuck and its residents and will be the city’s guiding document for shaping its future outlook.
Chubbuck planning manager Don Matson says the plan will accommodate for growth that the community has experienced and will prepare for what might happen twenty years down the road.
"The plan requires several components that are in state law things like transportation, housing, parks and recreation, community health and community utilities. So this comprehensive plan update will address all of those, but especially focus on things that have changed, which is are our housing, our land use and transportation."
The city is hoping to close the survey on Feb. 20.
The city's land use and development commission is meeting at City Hall Tuesday at 6 p.m. to discuss the comprehensive plan.
