Young snowmobiler found safe after spending night in freezing temps

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Idaho (KIFI)— A young snowmobiler was found safe Sunday morning after being lost since Saturday afternoon.

Franklin County Search and Rescue said the youth snowmobiler was reported missing in the White Canyon area just after 3 p.m. Saturday, February 8, 2025.

They searched through the night looking for the youth, calling in help from Utah's Cache County Search and Rescue and Weber County Search and Rescue. A helicopter from the Utah Department of Public Safety also helped in the search.

The youth was located Sunday morning and taken to the hospital to be checked.

The name of the youth was not released.
