Bus in California goes off highway and crashes, injuring 24
TULARE, Calif. (AP) — California officials say bus heading from Los Angeles to Fresno has crashed and that 24 people were hurt. They said Thursday that the Greyhound bus went off the highway, broke through a chain link fence and ended up on its side early in a parking lot near the city of Tulare. The passengers’ injuries were described as minor to moderate but the bus driver suffered major injuries in the crash early Wednesday morning and was hospitalized. Authorities investigating the cause of the crash say the bus driver tested negative for drunk driving. The bus had stopped in Bakersfield before it crashed.
