WARSAW, Poland (AP) — The Polish foreign ministery has summoned the charge d’affaires of Belarus to express its concern after a Belarusian court sentenced a journalist to five years of prison. The Polish foreign ministry spokesman said that Poland’s concerns over the treatment of journalists and the Polish minority in Belarus were raised at the meeting on Thursday. The journalist was sentenced on Wednesday. Her arrest last year came amid a larger crackdown on independent media.
