Trump leans into voter fraud playbook, preparing to cry foul if he loses expected Biden rematch

NEW YORK (AP) — GOP presidential frontrunner Donald Trump generally refrains from claiming voter fraud in elections he wins, but he is spending plenty of time laying the groundwork to cry fraud should he lose an expected rematch with President Joe Biden. After his victory in New Hampshire on Tuesday, the former president reiterated his false claims of cheating in the 2020 election and told supporters, “We’re not going to let that happen.” Experts say his repeated false claims of fraud have been normalized within a wide swath of voters. There are consequences, namely the widespread threats and intimidation of election workers after the 2020 election.
