POCATELLO, Idaho (KIFI) – The Bannock County Thanksgiving Distribution event was held this past Saturday at the Bannock County Event Center.

The event included a drive-thru distribution of food for a traditional Thanksgiving meal.

The boxes consisted of a turkey, potatoes, green beans, stuffing, corn, yams and pie filling.

Boxes for 1,300 families were prepared for the event. There were no income verification or other paperwork requirements to receive food.

"We very much recognize that there are hungry Idahoans here in Southeast Idaho who are just struggling to make ends meet, and this is a really easy way for us to help kind of fill that gap in and provide our folks and our neighbors here in Bannock County with a Thanksgiving meal," said Idaho Food Bank Branch Manager Kia Shaw.
