Patchy fog overnight, highs around freezing
A storm to our north will deliver some mountain snow tonight, especially closer to the Montana state line.
OVERNIGHT: Patchy freezing fog with a slight chance of snow. Overnight lows into the mid teens with winds around 5-10 MPH.
TUESDAY: Areas of freezing fog in the morning with highs into the lower 30's, mostly sunny in the afternoon with winds around 5-10 MPH.
WEDNESDAY: Mostly cloudy with highs into the mid 30's, with a slight chance of snow. Increasing snow chances Wednesday evening into Thursday.
THURSDAY: Scattered snow showers with highs into the mid to upper 30's and Gusty winds.
Special Weather Statement:
A series of storm systems are expected to advance through the eastern Idaho mountains starting Wednesday and continue through the holiday weekend. The first impulse to impact the eastern mountains will be Wednesday afternoon, resulting in 1 to 3 inches of accumulation across the higher peaks above 6500 feet. A more vigorous system will follow late Wednesday night through Thursday producing 5 to 15 inches of new accumulation in the mountains above 6500 feet and 2 to 5 inches in the mountain-valley locations below 6500 feet. Additional snowfall is expected Friday through Monday as storm systems continue to advance through the region.
