OVERNIGHT: Mostly clear and breezy with winds at 20-30 mph, with gusts over 35 mph. Overnight low temps into the mid 30's.

WEDNESDAY: Sunny and breezy with a high into the upper 60's with winds at 15-25 mph.

THURSDAY: Mostly sunny and breezy with a high into the upper 80's. Winds at 10-20 mph, with gusts 20-30 mph.

FRIDAY: Sunny with highs around 90°, with gusty winds. A slight chance of a mountain thunderstorm.

SATURDAY: Partly cloudy with highs into the mid 80's, scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening with gusty winds.

WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM MDT THIS EVENING…FROST ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM TO 8 AM MDT WEDNESDAY…

  • WHAT…For the Frost Advisory, temperatures as low as 32 will result in frost formation. For the Wind Advisory, west winds 30 to 35 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.
  • WHERE…The entire Snake River plain, the eastern Magic Valley, the Arco Desert, Mud Lake area, Shoshone area, and the Lava Beds.
  • WHEN…For the Frost Advisory, from 1 AM to 8 AM MDT Wednesday. For the Wind Advisory, until 9 PM MDT this evening.
  • IMPACTS…Gusty winds could make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Unsecured objects may be blown around. Frost could kill sensitive outdoor vegetation if left uncovered.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.

FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM THIS AFTERNOON TO LATE FRIDAY
MORNING…

  • WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.
  • WHERE…Teton River near Driggs.
  • WHEN…From this afternoon to late Friday morning.
  • IMPACTS…At 4.2 feet, or 1730 cfs… Lowland flooding occurs
    along the river in the Teton River bottoms from Bates Bridge
    Sportsman`s access down-river to Idaho Highway 33 and further
    down-river to 1000 North. Some river access boat ramps will be
    under water. Water may cover a portion of 600 South or North
    Cedron Road.

FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 PM MDT WEDNESDAY…

  • WHAT…Small stream flooding caused by rain and snowmelt is
    occurring.
  • WHERE…A portion of south central Idaho, including the following
    county, Fremont.
  • WHEN…Until 200 PM MDT Wednesday.
  • IMPACTS…Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
    and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.
  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
  • At 1045 AM MDT, Emergency management reported flooding in the
    warned area. Flooding is already occurring. Between 0.75 and
    1.75 inches of rain have fallen.

    Ashton, Marysville, Henrys Lake, Parker, Drummond, Ashton
    Reservoir, Last Chance, Island Park Reservoir, Ponds Lodge,
    Chester, Shotgun Village, Macks Inn, St Anthony, Island Park
    Village, Egin, Warm River, Ashton Hill, Harriman State Park,
    Mesa Falls State Park and Big Springs.
